This is a great book that covers everything; exercises, health tips, diet and a complete life style. I bought this book a few weeks ago and I must say that I am VERY happy with this purchase! For us (new moms) who are struggling with finding time to work out, this book is a straightforward practical guide to losing weight after having a baby. The exercises are also excellent for a lifelong fitness program. The best part about this book is that it contains easy exercises that you can do in your home any time of the day.
I am a few months out from having my baby, but wasn't losing the weight. I had a friend recommend this book to me, and I realized after reading it, I was doing things wrong. Before getting pregnant, I watched what I ate, and did a little exercise, but nothing strenuous. But I had packed on about 30 extra pounds now, and that regime was not going to work to get that extra weight off.

I started to follow the diet and exercise recommendations in this book, and I re-read it several times during the time it took me to lose the weight. The stories of celebrities (no names) and others that had lost weight with these methods gave me hope that I could do the same. I have lost about half the weight and am working on the rest.

It was fine. Worth the price. Pretty basic common sense information that you can google or will know already. but I did like how she focused on mindset also since that's a big part in weight lose.
What a great guide for new mom's!! After giving birth, this book opened my eyes to the changes my body went through and will still be going through, and how I can get back my pre-baby body. Not only were my eyes opened to what I needed to do to motivate myself and give my new life journey more meaning, but this book gave me all the tools and laid out the steps needed to not only get back my body, but my pre-pregnancy mindset and lifestyle! I am so thankful to the author for helping me get started and all along the way. I can't imagine what my life would be like without having read this wonderful guide!!
I got this book for my girlfriend (as this is something she is worried about) and I can honestly say that this is a very helpful and motivating guide. The book begins by covering what your body will encounter after pregnancy and how the best time to work on your post-pregnancy body is before you get pregnant. It goes on cover changes that should be made to your diet, how to tone your body, and plenty more.
The book is written in a lighthearted style but still is packed with helpful information and puts in the right state of mind. Highly recommended to any woman who is thinking of starting a family.
I purchased this book for my sister-in-law who just had her first baby three months ago and is having a very hard time losing the baby weight. I read through it with her and we used it to help her develop a workout and eating plan that would fit her schedule and help her meet her weight loss goals. I would definitely recommend this to any new moms who are trying to lose weight in a healthy way. The best thing about this book is the realistic perspective - it really addresses the issues and feelings of new moms and provides practical advice. The advice is not just practical but it is doable with a new mom's schedule, energy level and general baby demands. I think the nutrition advice that it gives is really good, too. I like the way that it illustrates which foods provide which vitamins so you can plan your meals based on your nutritional needs. My sister-in-law has had really low iron since the baby was born and it was nice to see a list of foods that she could eat to help bring her iron levels up.
As someone whose sister and cousins gave birth to many children, I know how difficult it can, sometimes, be for women to lose weight and get in shape after giving birth. Thankfully, as 'How To Lose Weight Fast And Get Your Body Back After Pregnancy' by Louisa Jones demonstrates, that the journey back to having a great figure does not have to be difficult, though it does require effort and commitment.

The most interesting chapter in the book, for me, was the one about Positive Mindset. It underlined something from my friend's experience. That particular friend gave birth on two occasions. First time it took her almost year and a half to lose weight and she struggled mightily. She was constantly busy, stressed and ate a lot of unhealthy, sugary food. Mind you, that women was on a brink of getting a black belt in taekwondo shortly before her first pregnancy, so she was in top shape. Being a smart cookie ), she learned her lessons, stayed positive, maintained a nurturing household (with the help of a great husband), took much better care of herself and after giving birth to a second son three years later, it took her weeks, not months, to get back in shape.
